I am a native Washingtonian who has enjoyed Halloween my entire life. I have always decorated for Halloween, but with the purchase of our first home in 2003, my spouse and I were finally in a position to start going "overboard".
With humble beginnings including particle board tombstones and a newspaper-stuffed witch, we have grown each and every year to what we are now -- a full-blown neighborhood spectacle. Over the past few years we have created an all new graveyard, a mausoleum, a haunted tower with witches' apothecary, and we have even started growing our own pumpkin patch in 2007. In 2010, we joined with Food Lifeline, a local hunger relief organization, efficiently serving the Western Washington area by using 96% of revenue to directly feed hungry people. For the 2010 season, Mill Creek Haunted Hollow collected food and cash donations to feed 400+ family meals. |
